The Meetings Show 2023 Recap

After months of planning, we kicked off The Meeting Show 2023 by attending the hosted buyer’s reception located in the O2. The show organisers had done an amazing job of securing this venue at the last minute after the original plans fell through. There was a fantastic turn out for the event from both a hosted buyers and supplier side and it was a great start to the week meeting up with connections old and new. It was a super modern venue and a unique space that supported networking in a relaxed environment.  For those who were feeling competitive you could have a go at the interactive football games where you could test your targeting skills, although most people were just having a bit of fun seeing if they could kick the ball back. A great DJ kept the atmosphere going before we all headed back to our hotels ahead of a busy two days.

This was the first year Pearl Global Collection exhibited at The Meetings Show to promote our hotels together with Pearl Representation and we were delighted to be supported by 8 of their DMC partners from across the globe. Over the 2 days the stand had over 160 scheduled meetings. It was wonderful to see so many existing clients and meet so many new contacts and see such enthusiasm in the market for MICE travel. Suppliers were able to spend time with clients discussing all the new updates in the destinations and hotels.

On the first evening of the Meeting Show Pearl Global Collection & Pearl Representation hosted 22 clients together with our Hotel & DMC partners for dinner at Decimo located on the 10th floor of The Standard, London. This trendy property, based in the heart of Kings Cross, provides the ideal backdrop for a MICE event. The evening kicked off with a drink’s reception followed by a delicious family style menu prepared by Michelin-starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias; he merges the Spanish cuisine of his family with his love of Mexico. It was the ideal way to end a productive day showcasing our amazing partners.
