Susona Bodrum Site Inspection
We are excited to share our blog with you on the stunning Susona Bodrum. After a very early start on
Sunday, we arrived at Bodrum airport and to our surprise it took 10 minutes to go through immigration
and collect our bags. Our transfer from Milas-Bodrum Airport to Susona Bodrum, LXR hotels and
resorts took 25 minutes.
On arrival we were welcomed by the friendly staff and were promptly checked in. As soon as you walk
through the reception doors you are met by the rich mandarin scent that is unique to Susona.
Following our check in we were escorted to our rooms. There is the option for a buggy, or you may
prefer to walk and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Our rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean with great sea views. The bathroom was stunning with
a large shower and standalone bath.
Before we set off for our site inspection of the resort, we stopped for a quick lunch at Frankie Beach
Club. Frankie has a great vibe and is the place to be and be seen. It boasts a beautiful pool which
makes Frankie’s the perfect place to host a party or drinks reception. We enjoyed some signature
Turkish dishes and cocktails!
Following our lunch, we set off for a full site inspection of the resort. We always opt to do this on
arrival, as this allows us to get a good understanding of the resort and our surroundings. The resort is
nice and compact and easy to navigate around. We visited several different room types all as
impressive as each other. The villas were mind blowing. Talay Lounge can be used as a private villa,
or you can host a private event from 50 seated to 120 standing. It comes with a private outdoor area
with private pool. Inside is spacious and stylish. 12am is the latest time that music can be played in
Bodrum, so this venue allows you to take the party inside so you can continue the party with no noise
restriction. Talay Lounge also works well for BBQs.
The hotel boasts 70 rooms and 3 meeting rooms.
Next stop was the L, X, R jetties. These jetties were expansive and can provide so many opportunities
to host private dinners or parties. The hotel also owns its own boat, perfect for champagne sunset
cruises. Once on-board we received champagne and chocolate strawberries; what more could we ask
for!?
Susona has 2 additional restaurants – Ezi where breakfast is served and Malva which is the fine
dining restaurant. These restaurants are set in perfect locations, with fabulous sea views and their
settings allow you to watch the sunset. We enjoyed the most spectacular Turkish breakfast at Ezi.
There is no better way to start your day. The vibrant colours and fresh produce which comes from
their own gardens is truly remarkable. Malva restaurant is an elevated experience. The service and
food is impeccable. The team are focused on providing guests with a memorable experience.
We visited Gumusluk, a local town, which is located around 30 mins from the hotel. This town is a
must when visiting Bodrum. As you walk through the streets, the surroundings will amaze you. We
visited Melengec Restaurant. The service and food were outstanding.
During our time in Bodrum we were amazed by the beauty of the city. It is truly the Turkish Riviera.
The city has so much to offer. Prior to coming to Bodrum, we had a different perception of it being
more suited to the all-inclusive package holiday market however, we admit we were mistaken.
Bodrum is a luxury destination and continues to grow in this market. Yalikavak is full of yachts, luxury
shopping and high-end restaurants.
